We have been keeping an eye on government support options for clients and would like to inform you of two support options from the government for businesses affected by the recent lockdown, in case you are eligible to apply.

The two options are the Covid 19 Wage Subsidy, and the IRD Resurgence Support Payment. They both have different eligibility criteria and application processes - which we’ve outlined below.

We are not able to apply for the wage subsidy for you, but we can apply for the Resurgence Support Payment on your behalf. If you would like us to apply for the Resurgence Support Payment, please confirm and we will send through an additional authority for you to sign digitally while in lockdown. After lockdown this authority can be signed in person. We will also need to confirm some information for you.

Wage Subsidy

Applications open: Open for 2 weeks.

Eligibility: Criteria can be found on the Work and Income website here.

Eligibility summary: There are several criteria requirements, the key one is a drop of revenue of 40%. Check the link above to confirm your eligibility.

Resurgence Support Payment

Applications: Through your myIR login.

Applications open: 24th August at 8am.

Eligibility: Criteria can be found on the IRD website here.

Eligibility summary: There are several criteria requirements, the key one is a drop of revenue of 30%. Check the link above to confirm your eligibility.
