Business Planning - Maniapoto Fencing
Serving the King Country and Waikato region, Maniapoto Fencing Limited is a Maori-owned, whanau-centred company run by Patea Muraahi and Jasmin Falwasser. Established in the turbulent economic climate of 2020, the business has faced many challenges in its few short years, but, with our Business Planning Session, will continue to go from strength to strength.
Finding Clarity with Ake Accounting Business Planning Sessions
Maniapoto Fencing reached out to our team looking for some guidance and support in the early stages of growing their business. With its first contracted project being a large-scale fencing project working with two other Maori businesses, the company was quickly gaining momentum. Patea and Jasmin recognised the need to take stock of their operation and lay strong foundations to ensure their future success.
Rearranging their crews in order to attend the planning session was no small task, but the team downed tools to join us for a day, with the aim of creating clarity around the business goals and processes.
Working alongside Tania-Rose Tamati, our CEO and knowledgeable business advisor, the business was explored in detail, in order to gain a clear sense of “why” - the purpose of running the business, and to set clear directives for “how” - a roadmap for the future.
With work/life balance identified as an important aspect of the company, objectives were set that incorporated the values of whanaungtanga and pukumahi, ensuring that this tikanga runs through all aspects of operations.
The Maniapoto Fencing team left the session with a clearly defined strategy for structuring their business as it grows and an understanding of how to set achievable goals that will move them toward their long-term objectives.
We came into this Business planning session not knowing what to expect or what the outcome might be. We left feeling more secure with ourselves personally, and as a business we have goals to complete and a new vision for our company.
Thank you AKE Accounting!
